Mandiluve Xwazi

Mandiluve is a 17 year old from the Eastern Cape in Sterkspruit. She goes to school at Tlokweng Senior Secondary and lives in Ndonyela with her mother. She is in Grade 11 and is also part of the school support group. She is a former LRC member at school as well as a Sports Organiser. She participates in debates, public speaking and poetry at school. She likes writing and is currently busy writing a book and has about 40 poems now! She is also trying to start a community netball team for young girls, because there is already one for the adults.

Akhona Dondashe

Akhona is an 18 year old, first year accounting student at the University of Fort Hare. He was the LRC president at Hector Peterson High School in 2009. He was part of the debating society in 2008, and Chairperson of the Peace Club (Umtapo Centre Initiative). In 2005 he was trained by Umtapo centre on Peace, Human Rights and Anti-Racism.  Akhona was also a member of the school choir as well as the school safety committee. In 2009 he became the recipient of the Inaugural Strini Moodley Peace Activist Award.

Shereleen Morrison

Shereleen is a 20 year old girl from a small town called Mthatha. She is very loud and is also a shy young lady at times. She enjoys exploring and communicating with young people and not forgetting to help them! She loves music, food and just having fun.

Akhona Zenzile

Akhona finished his Matric in 2003 and got involved in youth development activities, working with Youth Action Groups. In 2008 he did Peer Education for the Youth Empowerment Programme and is currently working for an NGO called SPW as a Fundraising and Partnership officer. He is also involved in women and youth advocacy projects and is also an Asset Based Community Development Approach (ABCD) Facilitator.

Delmay King

Delmay King is a 20 year old who lives in a small town called Mthatha in the Eastern Cape. He attends school at Mthatha International and is currently finishing his Grade 11. He is the type of person who likes giving people ideas and tries to help solve their problems. He also has a very soft heart and is an emotional human being.

Koko Moeketsi July

Koko is a go-getter, is actively involved in community projects and is a sports fanatic! Soft spoken, but very opinionated! A cool guy to hang out with!

Akhona Mdoda

Akhona is a fast learner and adapts fast to new surroundings. He loves participating in activities, and is one dude that is not shy to do anything at all. He enjoys a good laugh and with him, it’s never a dull moment.

Sapho Wulana

Sapho is a very socially oriented person, love having fun with friends. She believes that she is one of the strongest people in life although she is  a soft hearted girl. She is currently a student at the University of the Western Cape completing her 3rd year in LLB. She strongly believes that the only thing that a person can invest on and never regret, is education especially in a country like South Africa, without education, you are nothing. One of her goals in life is to make sure that the struggle of the youth comes to an end, the youth is faced with most of life’s challenges but yet they are taken for granted and are sometimes not even listened to when they speak. She is proud to say she will never trade South Africa with any other country in the whole wide world.

Andisiwe is very passionate about working with youth at large. She has been a volunteer Educator for two years and she is also very active in sports.
