Nondumiso Zimu

Nondumiso is a 23 year old from Ladysmith but was born and raised in Pietermaritzburg. She is a volunteer under the Organisation called Ubumbano Health Care Organisation. She is also an Assistant Site Facilitator and a Care Giver. She has been with the organisation for almost 2 years and her passion keeps growing considerably. Nondumiso’s wish is to have her input make the amount of difference required in our country to make a change.

Saihesh Sewduth

Saihesh is a 21 year old, young man currently studying towards an Honours Degree in Chemical Engineering. He believes that knowledge is power as this is one of the most important things for a better future. He says to his fellow South Africans, “Together as one nation we should unite against all types of struggles and together as a rainbow nation, we can defeat any problem”.

Yasmeen Rasool

Yasmeen lives in Phoenix, Durban and loves home. She is part of a family of 8 people. Her parents, two brothers, two sisters in law, a niece and of course her 15 hamsters! She used to study Mechanical Engineering at UKZN and would like to start a degree in Bio-Medical Engineering in 2011!. She also loves dancing, debating and reading Sci-Fi, especially Harry Potter. She is hard working when it comes to her studies, but also likes fun in proportion. She loves  spending time with family and friends.

Snothile Innocentia Mngadi

Snothile is an outgoing, loving person who just can’t get enough of laughing her heart out. Like everyone, she gets stressed, but channels all of that negative energy into something positive. She is a first year student at UKZN studying BComm and loving it! She enjoys a challenge and bettering other people’s lives, it makes her feel that she has a purpose in life. Snothile feels she has a lot to offer to the people, and that will make her a better person.

Damien is fun and stupid, but very hard working. He put others before himself and he really is Batman. He also loves Karaoke, bars and playing marbles. Helping people is his passion and he wouldn’t give it up for the world.

Nandi Zulu

Nandi loves people, but most of all she loves God! She has a passion to see people live life to the full. She also loves having fun and talking. She enjoys making people laugh and encouraging them. Her philosophy on life is FAITH, HOPE, LOVE.

FAITH- everyone needs to believe in something! HOPE- if you have hope you have everything, it never disappoints you. LOVE- makes the world go round, it’s the reason we live, and are alive!

Banothile Hlanguza

Banothile was born and raised in Johannesburg but her family relocated to KZN. She has lived in other provinces due to attending boarding school. She loves interacting with new people and is proud of the youth of this country. She completed her degree at the University of Stellenbosch and is currently job hunting. She is extremely excited about her future and the future of this country. Banothile is particularly proud of her country and its people. She now believes she has come to approach life differently due to the Bokamoso Ba Rona (Our Future) Youth Campaign. She now believes she can make a difference.

Pearl Pillay

Pearl is a student at WITS, studying International Relations, Politics, English and French. She believes that one day she will head up a major Human Rights Organisation. She is a member of Greenpeace and Amnesty International and also works with an Anti-Drug Forum and the Nelson Mandela Youth Centre in Durban. She is a firm believer in freedom of speech, very involved in the community, a public speaker and loves travelling.

Mbalenhle Ndlela

Mbalenhle is a 20 year old young lady in her second year of study. She is studying Public Relations Management at the Durban University of Technology. She is talkative, down-to-earth, a people’s person and a go-getter. She is a mover and shaker!! Mbalenhle is a bit tolerant but very short tempered and she fully supports the law of attraction: “Whatever happens in your life is attracted by you”. And yes, she is attracting success!

Sihle Ngobese

Sihle is a young, vibrant social thinker with ideas abound! He is from the township and grew up street-wise with a streak of English culture in him, having gone to a multi-racial school since foundation phase. His education means everything to him, and he’s an aspiring academic. This very aspect of him sees his often feverish insistence on defending ideas in the social realm, as he is an avid and skilful debater.

Lungile is from KwaZulu Natal, but is currently studying Theology in Zimbabwe. She is the quiet type, however, quite opinionated and quite assertive. She is involved in various programmes and has a passion for youth related issues.

Mandisa is a prefect at school and also plays netball, hockey and is involved in arts and craft at school. Out of school she is a member of a Book Club, Sunday School at church and is also involved in a project where she helps the children in foundation phase Maths.

Asanda Nkululeko Africander

Asanda the “Super energetic”; if Eskom used Ace as an energy source, power outages would be a thing of the past.  He is in love with the hip hop beat, and is one of the few peeps able to relay a message through rap.  Cool guy to be around and always gets a laugh out of anyone and everyone.

Reginald Siyabonga Mbelu

Syabonga aka Pro is a 24 year old male from KwaZulu Natal. He was Born in a rural place called Bhulwa (KZN) and is now Staying in a small place called Machibini at Mandini. Siyabonga is part of the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) under Mandeni Municipality. He is currently working on establishing his company (Construction Company). This is indeed a young and actively involved man.
