Emma Heistein

Emma grew up in a small SA town. She has a Mum, Dad, Granddad, Granny and two brothers. She went to a Private School in her community, but admits that she is not academic at all! She enjoys community involvement, people development and empowerment. Since leaving school four years ago, she has travelled to New Zealand and Australia on her own. She spent a year working for a Youth Empowerment Organisation, then moved to Austria and worked in Vienna and got involved in Youth Groups there. She then moved to Norway in June 2009 and between June 2009 and November, she went on an EU Youth Training and Youth projects in Czech Republic, Latvia and Turkey. In November 2009 she moved to Perth, Australia. In December 2009 she came back to South Africa and started a part time job at a Youth Empowerment Organisation. Emma currently studies Youth Development and believes that the more she experiences and learns, the more she can give and share and help others.

Jane Warner

Jane has completed matric. She is the kind of person who doesn’t easily speak up, but more of an observer. She takes note of the smallest details and enjoys everything regarding hands-on activities.

Rihan Kleyn

Rihan Francois Kleyn a.k.a “Kleyntjies” or “Poena” stays in beautiful Cape Town and loves holidays at the West Coast. He studied B.Comm. Law at the University of Stellenbosch, but  decided to change course in his third year of studies. He is now doing Electrical Engineering and planning to do his MBA when he’s done. He has a passion for problem solving, and for politics. He was the interim Deputy Chairman for the Democratic Alliance Youth in the Western Cape, is single and loves guava juice!

Masego Shiho Morgan

Masego is a cute and quirky 13 year old girl from Fishhoek. She is part of 2 book clubs that she personally organized with her school friends and has participated in a number of community projects including Indlovu Community Centre.  She is a really bright girl and her good natured ways rub off on the individuals around her. The young actress, Masego has been on television, loves reading, and is very smart for her age. If you want to see a real girl, then Masego is your girl!

Chevan John Clarke

Chevan is a 19 year old from Retreat. He is part of the Wesley United Football Club and CADO Swimming Club. He has also participated in community work mostly involving coaching sports to young kids in disadvantaged communities.

Kersten Dowling

Kersten is a 18 yr old student at the University of the Western Cape. She is involved in Karate Zen as well as community programmes aimed at young people. Kersten has also participated in a number of karate, self defence and life skills programmes for young children. She is approachable and a pleasure to have a chat with. Kersten is also readily available to lend a helping hand or just crash with and have a good old chat.  If you need some help with the Cape Town lingo, Kersten is the one you holla at.

Katendi is a 15 year old pupil at Rustenburg High School for Girls. She currently resides in Claremont, Western Cape, and is involved in a number of youth societies including the Afrikaans society and Music society at her school.

Malibongwe is a freelance Graphic Designer from Phillip East. He was part of the Design Discovery Tour which was created to introduce Graphic Designing in Public Schools.

Mayihlome Klaas

Mayihlome is a 22 year old male from the Eastern Cape. He was born in Zambia where his parents met and got married.  He spent half of his life in Zambia and regards himself as a man of two lands! Mayihlome is into extreme sports and loves rap music. He also does a lot of freestyling. Mayihlome regards himself as a free-spirited guy who learns from his experiences and mistakes in life. His dream is to work in Parliament so that he can better the lives of is community as people already look up to him and feel that he has the potential to do more for them. Mayihlome also says he loves women and especially the beautiful ones…mmm…this is a serious man…

Courtney is a 19 year old who matriculated from Edgemead High School in 2008. She was involved in drama in High school as well as writing, acting also heavily involved in both backstage and front of house duties. Other activities included debating, creative writing and a strong focus on academics.

The daughter of the soil. Barbra is a true and proudly African young lady who is in touch with her roots. Barbra is very creative, loves fashion and she even designs and makes her own clothing, jewellery and even handbags.

Sheldon is Always buzzing around with a smile on his face; he is an extrovert and is never shy or afraid to interact. He is a very happy dude; he always rubs off his happiness on those around him. He is not a comedian per se, but you certainly will be cracking a smile around him.
